Remedial Massage has become increasingly popular over the years and because of its healing abilities more and more people are treating it as a necessity rather than a luxury.

Healthy Living Massage provides a professional and results guaranteed service and treats clients from all populations.

I specialize in Ligament and Tendon Release and I pride myself on getting results with the techniques I use.

What are Ligaments and Tendons

A tendon is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches muscle to bone. Tendons may also attach muscles to structures such as the eyeball. A tendon serves to move the bone or structure. A ligament is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches bone to bone, and usually serves to hold structures together and keep them stable.

Ligament and tendon release is a specific technique used to release bunched ligaments and tendons and returns them to their normal functioning states. Traditional remedial massage and other forms of treatments used by health practitioners focus on stretching and lengthening the muscles, ligaments and tendons which I find only gives temporary relief from injuries and tightness. Releasing is much more effective, its quick and gives greater, faster and long term results. By releasing the ligaments and tendons this then takes the pressure, tightness and soreness away from the muscles and structures being treated.

To make it a little easier to understand, if you can imagine a rubber band, when in its normal state it is round, relaxed and flexible. If you were to wind and tangle it, it then becomes tight like a spring and has very little movement. This is my description of ligaments and tendons when they become injured or tight. Traditional stretching techniques which are used by 95% of health practitioners can assist but usually prolong the healing process and recovery time often resulting in multiple sessions before the injury has fully healed. Releasing these ligaments and tendons with the techniques I use is not only effective but it will have your body functioning normally in reduced time, In some cases within 1-2 sessions (depending on the severity of the injury or tightness).

Because blood flow through ligaments and tendons is not as great as through muscles, ligaments and tendons with partial tears can take longer to heal. Massage is one of the most effective treatments as this allows extra blood to flow through the tears enabling them to heal faster.
